"Pavilhão de Portugal"
The “Pavilhão de Portugal” exhibition, from 21 February to 13 April in Hangar-7 in Salzburg presents current works by ten internationally not yet exhibited artists from Portugal.
“Pavilhão de Portugal” offers an insight into present-day Portuguese painting and drawing. Portugal is not just geographically in a marginal position, the international art market pays hardly any attention to the country. Single-mindedly and only moderately influenced by current trends, very individual artistic oeuvres are developing. The result is strangely beautiful and profound works that reveal old and new, contemporary and anachronistic influences.
