The mood surrounding the airplanes, racing cars and many exhibits changes with the time of day, and nowhere can you experience this in greater comfort or with greater enjoyment than over a coffee, a guest chef menu, or a cocktail at Hangar-7. 

The Carpe Diem Lounge-Café is the best place to start an extremely promising day. Coffee and the daily newspaper next to a P-38 Lightning, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's service airplane, will not be the only highlight of the day for long. The excellent breakfast options, along with the first rays of the sun, are bound to put you in a good mood.You've already got a difficult decision to make at lunch – a guest chef lunch menu in Restaurant Ikarus, or smart food in the Mayday Bar? Not an easy decision, so you'll enjoy your meal all the more for it.

As the sun slowly sets behind the mountain panorama at the gates of Salzburg, there's no better place to say your au revoirs than in one of Hangar-7's two bars. If you don't suffer from vertigo you'll enjoy the view in the Threesixty Bar over a cocktail. Above your head the red-tinged sky, below your feet a glass floor and yesterday's heroes of the skies. The Mayday Bar offers dizzyingly good aperitifs to get you in the mood for an outing to Restaurant Ikarus. The guest chef of the month will decide the destination for your culinary voyage of discovery, as the sunset is reflected in the wings of the Mitchell B-25.

Peace and hushed voices are a thing of the past when a "Hangar-7 in concert" evening is on the agenda. More lights up than just the audience's eyes when the first spotlight brings stars such as Shaggy or Milow onto the stage. People dance their way between the aircraft and Formula 1 cars, and relaxed celebratory laughter echoes from the bars. The energy in the room is tangible and also visible to observers on the outside, as Hangar-7 glows like a burning comet beside Salzburg Airport's runway.

Whenever you visit Hangar-7, it never feels the same. The atmosphere changes with the time of day, and it's also rare to see the same exhibits twice.
