Jonathan Vandenbroeck, a.k.a. Milow, already established himself as a successful singer-songwriter in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2007. With his cover version of rapper 50 Cent’s Ayo Technology, he finally achieved his well-deserved breakthrough throughout Europe.
At Hangar-7’s Wednesday Night on 21 October, Milow’s audience could easily tell that the artist certainly was not just another one hit wonder. Be it new and original compositions by the artist himself, interpretations of Bruce Springsteen classics, or Milow’s old-new hit You Don’t Know: the Belgian immediately enthused his audience and encouraged the crowd to sing along after only a few songs – even with more sedate tunes, such as Born In The Eighties or One Of It.
The final piece and undisputed high point of the concert was, of course, Ayo Technology, during which, at the artist’s behest, a large part of the audience turned on their cell phones to create an impressive light show in the darkened Hangar-7.
With his stopover in Salzburg, Milow has definitely won many new fans, some of whom will most likely visit another one of his concerts during his tour through Austria.
