The Long Night of Museums
The Long Night of Museums at Hangar-7
Situated right beside Salzburg Airport is what is probably one of the liveliest museums in the city of Salzburg – Red Bull Hangar-7. Whereas a trip to a museum is usually a journey into the past, every element at Hangar-7 is firmly rooted in the present.
Under the avant-garde glass dome, top-class cuisine comes face-to-face with the legends of aviation history, and innovative bar concepts rub shoulders with art exhibitions. And the historic planes and helicopters of the Flying Bulls are more alive than ever, as great emphasis is placed on all aircraft remaining fully airworthy. The regularly changing HangART-7 art exhibitions are anything but retrospectives. Rather, they are dedicated to the most promising, up-and-coming artists from a series of different countries.
Program
Hangar-7 takes its guests on an artistic journey through the Baltic states – a particularly exciting conclusion to the year for the HangART-7 art programme, as Tallinn has been voted European Capital of Culture 2011. Contemporary art from the Baltic states – brought together under one roof.
Special Program
Guided tours through the exhibitions and insider stories from our on-location research.
