Restaurant Ikarus
Landing pad for international top chefs
A culinary patron with vision
After 13 years of intense training and formative time spent with legendary chefs such as Paul Bocuse in Lyon and the Haeberlin brothers in Alsace, Eckart Witzigmann set new standards from 1971 onwards at the iconic Tantris in Munich. In 1978, he opened his own restaurant, Aubergine, and just one year later became the first German-speaking chef – and only the second outside France – to be awarded a third Michelin star.
The team, led by Executive Chef Martin Klein, is like a perfectly tuned orchestra.
When the vision is inspiring and grand, and when a team comes together – whether in the kitchen, in service under the direction of Florian Kempinger, or in administration, which excels in every respect – then we have a platform for truly outstanding achievements.
I take my hat off to you. Chapeau!
